Using CRISPR/Cas9-based methods, patient-specific iPS cells and Q-State's all-optical electrophysiology platform (Optopatch) my colleagues and I characterize the electrical and pharmacological phenotype of these cells with the ultimate goal of uncovering new therapies for neurological disorders such as epilepsy, Rett Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, and ALS.

Worked in the laboratory of Dr. Richard Michelmore, generating multiple high-throughput yeast two-hybrid systems to test for interactions between pathogen effector molecules and their potential plant targets, including disease resistance and signal transduction genes leading to the hypersensitive response in Arabidopsis and cultivated lettuce and tomato. http://michelmorelab.ucdavis.edu Worked in the laboratory of Dr. Richard Michelmore, generating multiple high-throughput yeast two-hybrid systems to test for interactions between pathogen effector molecules and their potential plant targets, including disease resistance and signal transduction genes leading to the hypersensitive response in Arabidopsis and cultivated lettuce and tomato. http://michelmorelab.ucdavis.edu
