Responsible for the maintenance of the equipment’s and facilities, managing a team of 15 persons (5 electricians, 8 mechanics and 2 tools technicians). Direct management of shop floor supervisors, both electrical and mechanical, to ensure readiness of equipment. This was done by scheduled maintenance activities, but also via quickly prepared unscheduled stops due to breakdowns. Many projects developed, as relocation of complete lines or isolated machines from other group factories, upgrades to existing equipment to meet safety requirements and production upsizing. Most significant project was the sourcing and installation of a thermal oxidiser. I was the project manager for this equipment, it was a mandatory requirement on the environmental permit. It was a five-month installation project were commitment with production had to be made so that the production lines stop in order for the interconnections between the equipment’s were made. This was a 1.8M€ project that met both the deadline and budget. Main responsibilities: • Safety performance of team and equipment’s. • Supervision and appraisal of the maintenance personnel. • Preparation and management of budget and KPI. • Optimization of the energy resources of the plant. • Preventive Maintenance procedures for all the equipment’s in the factory. • Development of improvement plans for the production lines, either by replacing equipment’s or by modification/upgrade of existing equipment’s. • Upgrading equipment’s to comply with present safety regulations. • Safety audits for gas burners. • Development of implementation plans for new lines (layouts, power, compressed air, cooling, natural gas supply). • Maintenance of the facility’s technical information (layouts, compressed air, gas, sewage, water, AVAC). • Management of the spare parts warehouse and stocks.
