Lead a team of 8 specialist that is responsible for the implementation of network projects on more than 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean that was working in 3 mayor projects (regional impact) and more than 20 local initiativesThe major projects at that time were:Caribbean Data Center consolidation: Prior to this project the branches and ATMs were connected to a local Data Center using Frame Relay circuits, all the systems needed to support the branch were located on the "in country" Data Center (AS400, PBX, e-mail server and Active Directory), the same model was present on 7 countries; after the completion of this project the 7 Data Centers were going to be replaced by 2 located in Canada and the Frame Relay connections were being replaced with a MPLS network Global Network design and implementation: The Data Centers of the associated banks in; El Salvador were being interconnected on a fully meshed MPLS network that included Toronto, prior to this project there was none or limited connection to those sitesNetwork infrastructure overhaul of Scotiabank Costa Rica and integration with a recently acquired bank: There was a merge of 2 banks going on in Costa Rica (Scotiabank and Interfin) the major deliverable of this project was to have all the branches in the country (35) connected to 2 Data Centers where the network infrastructure was build from scratch using state of the art technologyThe team is also responsible for the level 3 support of a network that spreads over 20 Latin American and Caribbean countries (more than 500 points of presence at that time)Presented reports to upper management of the advance of the projects and the performance of the network with specific emphasis on mayor incidentsGather information from our main customer: Scotiabank Int'l, regarding their business requirements in the Caribbean and Latin America.
