I have worked in a professional engineering environment and performing qualified engineering work in NAVAIR since March 2016 as an Electrical Engineer. I am currently working in AIR 4.4.6 Test Methods & Facilities Division in direct support of the AIR 4.4.6.2 Electrical Test Operations & Maintenance Branch. AIR 4.4.6.2 Electrical Test Operations & Maintenance Branch consists of engineering and technical services that integrate and support evaluation of electrical power systems, test engineering specialists, and environmental test facilities. The branch provides technicians that conduct the corrective and preventative maintenance on specialized test support equipment. In addition, the branch troubleshoots test support equipment anomalies to determine repair requirements and replacement part needs. The branch stocks parts required for preventative maintenance efforts as well as perform installs, repairs and provide maintenance on all high voltage systems within the facility. I was appointed as lead test engineer of the Power Quality Laboratory where I have extensive knowledge on power system components and testing. My main duty includes performing electrical tests to demonstrate system compatibility with aircraft electrical power characteristics as defined in MIL-STD-704 for a variety of aircraft equipment. In addition, I have given engineering support to various environmental, endurance and Aircraft Electrical Service Station (AESS) certifications on Navy ships. Show less
