  The propulsion team is responsible for the design, construction and testing of rocket motors and engines. In general, the task of a propulsion member includes:- Acquire and purify fuel and oxidiser for solid propellant;- Solid propellant manufacture;- Design of combustion chambers, oxidiser tank and nozzle;- Static fire tests;- Modeling and numerical simulation of motors;- Structural analisys and numerical simulation (FEM) of pressure chambers and nozzle flow.Events:- LASC (Latin America Space Challenge) 2019, being awarded 2nd place in the 1km Solid category and 2nd plane overall Show less

  The Propulsion Manager is responsible for managing the propulsion system and it's members as well as partaking in decisions and discussions regarding the hole project.Tasks during the one year cycle:- Manage of the propulsion team (23 total members);- Development of a class M Solid motor;- Development of an instrumentation and comunication system for static fire tests;- Classes regarding the basics of propulsion systems for new project members;- Improvement of the Class M Hybrid motor.Events:- LASC (Latin America Space Challenge) 2020, being awarded with 1st place in the 3km Hybrid category and 1st place overall;- IREC 2021;- Edital Funcate 2020 (AEB).
