Over the last year I have had the pleasure of working with Luis multiple times weekly through collaborations between our companies. Luis has demonstrated an extreme zeal for human space flight, often helping facilitate discussions across numerous focus areas with subject matter experts from across the country. His organization and attention to detailed are top-notch. I am very excited to see where Luis's career takes him– it is rare to find a seasoned engineering, let alone a new graduate, who can take can take on the immense degree of responsibility given to Luis, and with such calm and poise.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Luis for a little over a year, during which we have worked alongside each other in 24/7 satellite operations shifts. He was part of the inaugural Satellite Pilot group of university students, who helped develop the procedures and documentation for the first satellite handover of Viasat’s Satellite Control Center. Luis has been an asset to the SCC, which is shown through his strong work ethic and enthusiasm. During operations, he has shown to be levelheaded and not easily flustered by the pressures of operating a multi-million dollar satellite. He is a quick learner and has gone above and beyond his Satellite Pilot duties by supporting the satellite engineers in our group through intensive tool creation to automate FDS analysis. Luis would be an excellent addition to any team and comes with my heartfelt recommendation.
