Vega is my go-to IT Specialist. Whenever I need troubleshooting or network support, I make sure to reach out to him, as he is the best at it. He has been collaborating with my team for a couple of years, and on top of being a great IT specialist he is also an easy-going person. I definitely recommend Vega to any job.

I also became the SysAdmin for said systems as I merged the 3 enclaves into 1, reducing redundant paperwork and repetitive tasks for similar systems. By acquiring server & network equipment, I established a stand-alone network and automated the patching, vulnerability scanning (Nessus) and hardening of all systems (STIG & SCAP), reducing the time it took to individually maintain each within the organization. This also helped in the auditing of all systems and to gather valuable information necessary to maintain accreditation standards. More efficient access control was attained by having the users have individual accounts and restricting access to the lowest necessary for the required tasks with the implementation of a domain (virtualized server environment), MS Active Directory and Group Policy Objects. Additionally, I created and managed a storage repository for critical user and project data and established a backup policy with the Acronis SCS 12.5 Hardened Edition software. Once a year, a hardware and software list was created/updated for the purpose of accounting for all physical and digital assets the organization had in production and to track versions and licenses required for all programs. I'm also in charge of the IT tech refresh for all stand-alone information systems; I gather the requirements of all stakeholders within the organization and send Requests For Quotes (RFQs) to all vendors for the purchasing of equipment that meets our requirements. I'm also the Systems Administrator, and alternate ISSO/ISSM, for information systems with higher classification (Secret/Top Secret) within the organization to maintain the Special Access Program (SAP) side of the organization. Was the primary equipment Custodian for five ITEC accounts and the secondary custodian for three other accounts. I consolidated all IT equipment after COVID19 mobile requirements were satisfied with 98% accountability. I did my due diligence and documentation for unaccounted for items by submitting informal ROS letters and DD200 forms with all the depreciation and relevant information for the items. I also sanitized the accounts of obsolete equipment and performed IT Tech refresh each items cycle. Created a new and automated IT equipment tracking measures via MS SharePoint lists (ITEC Item Tracker). Ticket tracking and management is performed via the IT Ticket Tracker for NIPRNET, SIPRNET & Stand-alone systems. Documentation of steps taken and resolution for ticket is submitted for metrics and ticket history. To elevate/escalate tickets I went through BMC Remedy when the issues span across multiple units or buildings. Was in charge of a CRO account as primary account manager for the 96 RN for all matters COMSEC, SIPRNET, TACLANEs (KG-175Ds) and Secure Terminal Equipment (STE). Automated tasks with PowerShell scripts for remote installation to fix CAC Login software (Activ Client), among other software, and update client workstations with different software/security updates in different environments, saving man-hours and avoiding the use of MS Remote Desktop or working it on-site.
