Centro Energetico de Las Americas (CELA) Industrial Park Project, which considered an integrated network of industrial and logistics parks for the oil and gas industry on both of Panama's Pacific and Atlantic coasts. Atlantic CELA on the Atlantic coast would be linked through an in-land trans-isthmus pipeline corridor with Pacific CELA and an offshore platform at Isla Taboguilla on the Pacific Ocean. Phase I (US$ 1.3 billion) considered terminalling facilities to receive, store and dispatch 16.0 millions barrels of crude oil and refined products on the Atlantic coast and 8.0 million barrels on the Pacific coast of the Republic of Panamá, plus a 90 Km 36" in country pipeline to interconnect both terminals. Responsible for the project management for conceptual (FEL) and basic engineering. Contract strategy for this project considered a PMC. Worldwide consultant companies participating in this project: Tecnicas Reunidas - Spain and Cryogas - USA, Jurong Consultants - Singapore, ICA Fluor Daniels - México and Nouel Consultants - Venezuela.
