During my time at Criterion I've worked on projects such as Battlefield 2042 and Need for Speed Unbound.I worked on BF2042 for about 8 months during the finaling stage of the project, having mainly focused on bug fixing in the areas of gameplay (vehicles, weapons, loadouts, abilities and characters) as well as issues adjacent to other areas like cosmetics, AI and UI.I had the opportunity to be part of the development of NFS Unbound since its concept stage. I started my contributions to the project by prototyping several gameplay systems (game modes, navigation, etc) as well as building the foundations of the new cops system (AI open world system) for the game. This was particularly challenging as the system I inherited was originally built using a visual programming language in Frostbite (schematics) and the needs of the project required it to be built in C++, for both performance improvements and team structure. As I got to contribute to the project until we shipped, I continued owning this cops system throughout development while also bringing new team members to join the team and take it even further. My responsibilities were mainly across system design, gameplay and AI while also using several other system like UI to bring the feature together.Since shipping NFS Unbound I've also had the opportunity to lead the development of one of the core features delivered in the first large update for the game, which was introducing our cops system in Multiplayer and I'm continuing to own the development of this system throughout the rest of live service while informing the team in conversations about where we can take it into the future.
