Within my Ph.D., I am involved in research on liquid metals and tritium technologies. I carry out both experimental and modelling activities devoted to fission and fusion applications, especially for the innovative ITER reactor and the next step DEMO. I investigate tritium extraction technologies, pursuing experimental and modelling activities at ENEA research centre. I delight myself also with magnetohydrodynamics, as an application to liquid metals and molten salts.

During my almost three-years research fellowship at PoliTo and ENEA, I was involved in the study of tritium transport in several blankets of DEMO reactor. From the experimental viewpoint, I made several activities, among which the development of hydrogen isotopes permeation sensors, a new device for the measurement of some liquid metals properties, and I assisted to the preliminary design of a new facility for tritium extraction.
