Essex Teacher Training is a large provider of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in the East of England. As part of EES for Schools; we offer high quality school-based training routes for both Primary and Secondary. Working with our SCITT and School Direct partners we are able to offer training places in schools across Essex and its surrounding borders. EES for Schools is owned by Essex County Council. • Providing administrative support to the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) team by maintaining departmental records and databases. Including ITT Manager for recording assessment reports, lesson observations and uploading resources used by both tutors and trainees. • Responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders regarding the various teacher training programmes that we offer. • Supporting the Finance Business Support Manager to maintain accurate financial records. • Approving external tutors’ timesheets and expense claims. • Creating and receipting Purchase Orders and Invoices; including issuing Credit Notes. • Organising the effective running of the trainee teachers training programme including booking venues and external tutors. While ensuring that general course days did not clash with individual trainees’ main timetable. • Maintaining the Essex Teacher Training website and Twitter account to ensure effective communication of the latest and most relevant information. • Updating the EES CPD Portal with details of course dates and confirming bookings and attendance. Key Achievement: Finalising the 2017/18 trainee teacher timetables by communicating between the various venues and tutors to ensure there were no conflicts between the various cohorts. Show less

The Government Legal Department, formerly the Treasury Solicitor’s Department(TSol), provides legal advice to government on the development, design and implementation of government policies and decisions, and represents the government in court. During this role I provided daily administrative support to a team of approximate 15 Government solicitors by maintaining the departments filling system, databases and archive records. My main responsibility was to assist the solicitors preparing for court cases and probation hearings. This included; • Collated and dispatched documents for use in cases; including ordering case transcripts • Liaising with Barristers’ clerks and chambers and other Government departments. • Researching cases on Casetrack, LexisNexis Professional and other legal resource sites. • Provided cover for Court Clerk. Key Achievement: Received recognition from the Executive Board for the administrative support provided in preparing and collating the case files for the trail of Major Stancovich v Chief Constable MDP Police [2007] EWHC 2608 (QB). When the case was heard at the Royal Court of Justice I was given the opportunity to attend the case as part of the Defendant's legal team. Show less
