Co-founder & Program Director
-
Jan 2005 - Jan 2010
Established in 2005 as ‘Young Chef of the Year’ - an awards program to recognize young talented chefs and provide them with networking, mentoring and work experience opportunities - the program proved so successful that it quickly grew to recognize the other roles integral to the hospitality industry and now encompasses 3 important categories – Young Chef, Young Waiter and Young Restaurateur. I was co-founder of this program with business partner Luke Mangan and ran the program from 2005 to 2009. I then continued my involvement as a judge of the Young Restaurateur category until returning to the Program Director role in late 2018.
