I have the pleasure of meeting Lucia for years, both personally and professionally, and I have to say that she is a great person to work with and treat. She is not only a loyal and innovative professional, but also an inspiring person to deal with. She is a well educated, result driven and open minded team player, and a great leader in team management. She has a lot of deep technical skills in civil engineering field, complemented with a very good emotional intelligence skills

Lucia is very goal tended person. She always stays positive and doesn´t looses the initiative and energy. At work she is very professional she continues educating herself so she is in the last of technologies and other aspects in Civil Engineering. She speaks very good English and she has been studding German and Russian as well. What I like most in her is her open minded view to the world, she is willing to know new countries, new companies to live in other cultures and she is good at adapting in any situation what makes her a very flexible person. I recommend her as a professional to any person who reads this because I really don´t know many people like her and she is everything in one – positive, intelligent, goal tended, flexible, loyal, always punctual. Whoever will contract her will be very happy to have such a complete professional in their team. She will work in your company like if it´s hers, I do guarantee that.

As BRE Programme Lead, I direct, head and run the BRE Construction Innovation Hub (The Hub), a £72m UKRI R&D programme within the Transforming Construction Challenge delivered by MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre), CDBB (Centre for Digital Built Britain) and BRE (Building Research Establishment). Leading this programme is incredibly exciting and thrilling, as well as challenging and defiant since it is a huge responsibility for the BRE Hub team to deliver the outputs and outcomes that will impact and change the construction sector from here on out. We are looking at different ways of constructing assets, incorporating manufacturing techniques in the construction processes and utilising digital tools and new technologies, with the consistent aim of achieving better social, financial and environmental outcomes, such as a reduction in whole life costs, in delivery time and in lifetime emissions. The BRE Hub team of around 45 innovators which I lead will be working in this until September 2022, together with the Hub central and wider BRE team that will definitely provide a rich pool of knowledge and expertise nurturing and enriching both The Hub and the BRE. In the next years I will be part of the leadership responsible of achieving the highly-demanded transformation in construction that all players in this sector have been claiming for the last 10 years. A sustainable way of designing, manufacturing, constructing, operating and recycling construction assets, in which every penny of the tax payers invested will be able to bring real social outcomes, creating more and better paid jobs, boosting local economies, creating knowingly safe work sites, preserving our environment and ensuring a sustainable home for future generations. It is an honour to be part of this programme since we are responsible of initiating the tangible starting point for the change that will be impacting the construction industry during the next 10-15 years Show less
