  Key Responsibilities: Manage the day to day running of the Pratchett office; collaborating directly with Sir Terry Pratchett and his Business Manager regarding works in progress, research, proofreading drafts, dictation and editing. Provide PA support including: diary management, organising home improvement works including decorators, builders, gardeners and care staff; and booking meetings, travel and accommodation. Attend, minute and prepare materials for internal and external management meetings. Liaise regularly with Publishers, Agents, Producers, Publicists and Journalists to maintain effective communications on behalf of the client. Manage emails; identifying any important or urgent matters and raising these with client, taking appropriate action where necessary. Provide confidential services at all times; maintaining strict standards including brand protection. Key Achievements: Played a significant role in the production of one of Sir Terry Pratchett’s novels-Dodger; through researching and compiling the dictated content provided by the author to create a finished manuscript. Established new innovative methods to assist Sir Terry Pratchett with the continuation of his work despite his condition-PCA; a rare form of early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Successfully safeguarded the brand; protecting the client from external intrusion. Single-handedly organised and coordinated a care-plan during the latter stages of the illness. Show less
