Lower Essex Street - Birmingham (RIBA Stages 0-2) Planning Approved - Full planning submission for a new residential-led mixed use scheme of 642 units for the redevelopment of disused land at Lower Essex Street within the heart of the Gay Village in the Southside district of Birmingham. Undertook professional practice experience during my undergraduate studies, assisting with the concept design of Marple Aqueduct Parapet at RIBA stage 2, responding to Grade 1 listed structure requirements and sensitivity to it's location. Gained experience in RIBA Stage 4 working on Luton Airport Gateway, developing 3D printing skills and IT skills within Vray and Grasshopper. Undertook site visits on London Paddington Crossrail Station as part of my RIBA Part I undergraduate studies. I visited the site and offices daily over the course of 5 months and gained experience in top-down construction methods, highly engineered infrastructure, BIM and complex contractural agreements on large scale projects.
