I worked with Lucy at Glen Dimplex Professional Appliances; she was a valuable member of the team bringing intelligence, insight and fresh thinking to our marketing of medical refrigeration to the public and private sectors both here in the UK and internationally. She is able to come up with innovative ways of thinking as well as bringing efficiency to the day to day tasks such as exhibition organisation, catalogue and website planning and market research. If you are looking for someone to add value to your organisation by employing an energetic, professional marketeer, I would recommend Lucy.

Responsibilities • As the only dedicated marketer working on the Lec Medical brand (whose product portfolio includes pharmacy refrigeration and laboratory refrigeration & freezers) this was a full marketing mix role working under a marketing manager. • Updating the brand’s website with news and product information • Planning and executing the 12 month marketing plan, taking into account new product launches, researching key exhibitions to attend and general brand building activity. • Organising all print and digital advertising, direct mail to customers, planning and attending all exhibitions and new product launches. The exhibitions involved everything from briefing an external agency on the creative theme for the stand, to working with the exhibition organisers on cost savings and logistics, to setting up the stand on attending the exhibition as the product expert to speak to customers. • An important part of the role was working alongside the PR agency to plan press releases, editorials and press packs to go alongside the marketing plan. There were also ad hoc releases done with a very short turnaround when the Government released new legislation which affected our products, or there was a news story regarding the medical sector. Key achievements: • Organising 6 exhibitions, 2 of which were overseas. • Being instrumental in the re branding of Lec Medical over the year which included a new logo, a new core product range, copy and photography style.
