Guy Cardineau

I had the very fortunate experience of working with Dr. Lucrecia Alvarez for several years at Arizona State University. She actually arrived there before I did, but, through a curious twist of circumstances, ended up as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in my lab in the Center for Infectious Disease and Vaccinology at the BioDesign Institute. While that was her official position, very quickly Lucrecia became more of a colleague than a Post-Doc, and she also became a very good friend. She is one of the most dedicated and talented researchers that I know and it was my pleasure to work with her. During the 4.5 years we worked together we generated data, collaboratively and with others, that resulted in 10 publications and 14 meeting abstracts. She was the mainstay of my laboratory, training students, who then became Research Assistants who, with her help, trained more students, about 12 undergraduate interns in all. In my nearly 30 years of professional experience, she is one of the most competent laboratory people that I have been fortunate to work with, and if there were a way to recruit her to work with me again I would do so in a New York minute. Lucrecia is one of the most capable and talented scientists I know, a terrific person, and a good friend.

I have worked with Lucrecia since 2010 and it has been fun to work with her. She is very skilled in understanding the technical aspects of the projects and outline step by step protocols for her experiments. She is a meticulous researcher and highly knowledgeable in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics skills.
