The project had a set of clear goals and weekly status meetings were held to ensure satisfactory progression towards the goals. The number of deviations accumulated in the backlog at the start of the project was above 8000. The primary target was set to reach a manageable number by the end of the project. Bellow 1000 was identified as the target number. Furthermore, root cause analysis and solution was added as secondary goals. The different type of deviations exceeded 20 categories adding to the challenge. We have been very satisfied with the progression, achieving primary and secondary targets within the set deadlines for the project. Pankaj has been in charge of the project and managed to keep track on progression independently. The project required close coordination with users to ensure business side deviations were also reduced to achieve the overall target. This cooperation has been successful and praised by the users. Pankaj has also managed to find time to redesign parts of the portal used by business users to correct deviations and the feedback has been unanimously positive. On the root cause analysis and solutions, Pankaj has managed to raise success rate for Inbound Batch transaction from bellow 90% to above 95%. Other solutions for a number of other deviations were dependant on Siebel release and will improve the success rate even more. On his last month of engagement, documentation and knowledge transfer were his key focus areas. The transition to operational teams has been successful and the user training has lead to keeping the number of deviations under control. The resource allocated for taking over technical support of the Change Management system has received a structured and well documented training which he has given very positive feedback on. All in all, this project has been very successful from Hafslund point of view. We are very happy with the efforts put in by Pankaj and welcome him back in other projects at our company any time.
