  Responsible for evaluating most profitable and beneficial CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) projects for the company (melt shop, utilities, and logistics) and for maturing the study of them until their full implementation, when technically feasible. The purpose of investment studies was to evaluate financial returns, permanence in the market, sustainability, safety, productivity, and capacity, in order to select the most appropriate projects in mining and steel making. Helped to saved the company $10 million by preventing the installation of one unnecessary EBT furnace. Selected for an Accelerated Training Program whose main goal was to bridge the knowledge gap between different generations of engineers and educate all participants in an overview of the industrial areas, offering theoretical and practice training in steelworks, lamination, and all kinds of mechanical processing operations carried out by the various GERDAU manufacturing shops. This training resulted in collaborations between the engineers that improved communication and created connections among the team members. Implemented a Groundwater Catchment System as a rainfall–runoff response.(It was necessary to find an alternate water source to sustain operations during a drought.) Improved safety in crane operation, reducing the risk of crane accidents and injuries, and improved risk rating for the company’s physical barriers and electronic devices. Installed a CCTV Monitoring System for the EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) to allow operators to evaluate operation remotely, improving safety in the most critical risk area in the melt shop. Conducted studies for Critical Risks regarding an automatic stirring device for rinsing and homogeneity, Long Distance Belt Conveyor between the mine and the processing and treatment plant Relationships with stakeholders concerning tie-ins and boundaries between internal projects and public and private sector interests on projects such as pipelines, roads, and railway structures.
