Lissy Torres

I have had the unique pleasure of working with Lucy in her previous role as an individual contributor and as a director of a team of five. Lucy trusts her team to solve the problems and meet the goals that they have laid out. Her approach to understanding the why behind our decisions so that she can better communicate out to the company and protect the team removes roadblocks and optimizes time. One on one, Lucy invests in her team's future. She knows when to push people out of their comfort zone. Thanks to her, I have been able to level up and add several skills to my toolset as a senior designer such as storyboarding and illustration. I really appreciate how much she cares about her team's growth. While her team is busy, Lucy executes on UX and product direction across the company, keeping an eye out for opportunities for improvement, collaboration, and research/design. Lucy also doesn't mind getting deep into the trenches with her team when necessary. I can honestly say I'm better for being on Lucy's team. She is a great leader who can handle the ups and downs that come with the ambiguous work of being in the user experience field. Her broad understanding of strategy and her previous experience as an individual contributor help create shared ownership and bring departments together to get behind the same goals and do the things that matter. Lucy would be an asset to any leadership team! I highly recommend her.

I worked along side Lucy for the last year while at Circulo Health as her product counterpart and she never failed to impress me. Lucy has a way of taking a large UXUI need and organizing it into digestible and actionable tasks to help the product team forecast and build out the product roadmap. She has a natural gift for understanding and creating exceptional user experiences and client workflows. And on top of all of this, Lucy helped organize a monthly virtual happy hour for the product and design team that was engaging and fun for all! She always has a great attitude and posses all the skillsets that you would want in a collaborative team member and leader.
