Policy & Claims IT Intern
-
Jun 2012 - Aug 2012
During my internship I worked on consolidating 4 large IT projects for the policy and claims department by consolidating and integrating existing and future policy and claims documentation into Enterprise Architect. To do this, I created a network map of current policy and claims software that totaled 1000 individual nodes and cross-referenced all policy and claims documentation in order to identify errors/anomalies. Doing this ensured that should the project be re-opened, all team members would have correct and accurate information about the software's structure.

I performed quality assurance and load & performance testing on new corporate insurance software by cataloging 5000 system requirements and test sets in HP Quality Center. I made this possible by transferring change requests into HPQC to provide a history of changes for all project members, and setting up other users for load and performance testing of the software in several other countries. In addition to my quality assurance work, I also identified the most up-to-date documents in team’s ProjectPlace, helping reduce space inefficiency by 20%.
