IAV in Germany was set as a development partner to this project being them responsible to certification process with TÜV.Live abroad at Bosch in Stuttgart/Germany for three month driving the development of combustion of Euro IV heavy duty engine. In that time the engine was totally redesigned being developed one new four valve cylinder head, piston bowl and cylinder lines honing. The engine had applied the VNT turbocharger and EGR system with closed loop strategy. From 2000 to 2004.Visit SAE World Congress in order to do benchmark for future applications - Detroit / USA - 05/2004.Responsible for basic engine calibration of first Euro III heavy duty engine with Bosch injection system - Common rail. Work at Euro III of Acteon engine on versions 4.12 with 150, 165, 185 and 210cv and 6.12 engine with 230, 260 and 310 cv for Volkswagen and Volvo application.Support vehicle application area in order to evaluate turbocharger application and fuel consumption with duty cycle acquisition at altitude and sea level.Experimental redesign of cylinder head ports in a flow bench rig to adequate the swirl level in order to meet emissions standards. Certification test with Cetesb for Euro III engines.
