I started from the ground up and earned the opportunity to manage the entire operation. *Not part of the family ● Develop a network of key business partners and associates at the C-suite level across different industries ● Manage $90MM mixed real estate portfolio – commercial, industrial, multifamily, etc. – across Florida & Louisiana comprising of 35 different companies and over 600 assets ● Generated increased revenue of approximately 50% in the overall portfolio and 15% in the hotel & theatre assets ● Liaise with lending partners –banks & private equity– on a regular basis to negotiate and secure credit facilities ● Provide strategic direction across departments by conducting weekly team huddles, troubleshooting & auditing key processes ● Lead acquisition operations team with an average of 4 deals per year ● Implemented controls and automation for all departments, including: o Accounts payable: reduced expenses by 10%, data entry time by 30%, and error factor by 90% o Accounts receivable: streamlined collections by implementing electronic payment methods, reduced risk of loss on leases by auditing & standardizing language with legal team. o Operations: Created SOPs to comply with lender covenants such as financial ratios, insurance & financial reporting ● Manage insurance policies for the real estate portfolio and other businesses, including negotiating with agents and determining adequate levels of coverage by weighing risks vs. cost ● Address tax strategy and audit issues with CPAs as necessary ● Liaise with attorneys on matters such as property refinancing, HR, trust planning, lawsuits, leases, etc.
