  I worked on a research project with a fellow biology major and with the assistance of Dr. Nicholas Tippery. We used PCR and phylogenetic analyses to determine the time and location of multiple plant species' transitions from terrestrial to aquatic ecosystems.

  I cleaned and maintained several fish tanks throughout the biology department at UW-Whitewater. The majority of the tanks held different cichlid species and are generally just observed by students, staff, and the occasional public visitors. Some of the fish tanks held species of goldfish and are used for student experiments.
