Assisted with Financial Management and Management Accounting for the Accounting Honours class. This included presenting smaller group tutorials, providing private consultations and marking of tests and exams. Lecturer for first year Information Systems students in the accounting stream. This included presenting classes to between 80-120 students, setting tests and providing private consultations. This role allowed me to combine my passion for teaching with my desire to empower others. During my time at Stellenbosch University, I was able to interact with experienced colleagues to further develop my technical skills, as well as develop softer skills such as communication skills, adapting my tone to suit the audience and work with a diverse group from 1st years to senior professors. During the year, I collaborated with a group of colleagues to research and write an article which has been accepted for publication in The Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning. Show less
