I have been his professor in three courses (Computer Architecture, Operating Systems and Telecommunication Services), and later on I have been his thesis advisor. His specific contribution was in the design and implementation of a protocol for alert distribution. The work required both a good understanding of a complex application environment and the technicalskills needed to obtain an efficient implementation of a network protocol.
