Lowell has been an invaluable leader for the past two years at Thrive Kitsap, a nonprofit ministry organization that the both of us serve through. He consistently practices incredible servant leadership skills within the organization's leadership team and among non-leadership members through the ministry's events and weekly meetings: offering to help cook food for large quantities of people, cleaning up foyers and sanctuaries after the crowds leave, and even offering to give people rides whenever it is a need. He is a "see a need, fill a need" type of a man: always looking to help others even if he was not tasked to do so and always pursuing opportunities to bring people together in both work and play. During his time in leadership at Thrive Kitsap, Lowell has helped organize and lead weekly small group discussions amongst Thrive members, plan and host various board-game and fundraising events, and attend and participate in monthly leadership meetings. During these meetings and events, Lowell lead multiple group discussions that covered a wide range of ministry topics and even co-lead with other leadership members to help ensure that all discussions and meetings stayed on topic and remained beneficial for everyone. Within the span of a year with having Lowell on our team, Thrive Kitsap grew from a community of around 30-40 young adults meeting every week to close to over 100 young adults and Lowell's contagious enthusiasm and problem-solving nature was integral for our response to the increase of attendees. These are only some of the many examples that I could give you of Lowell's outstanding leadership, organizational, and social skills. He is an invaluable team player who will always do his best to accomplish above and beyond what is asked of him to ensure the betterment of the project and his team as a whole. It is because of this that I not only recommend Lowell to your organization, but also look forward to see and hear about all of the outstanding successes that he will accomplish with those around him. Sincerely, Micah Sayler

Dear Hiring Manager, Lowell has proven to be an exceptional asset to a team of engineers tasked with very unique problems to solve. As a member of the Nuclear Refueling Facilities Branch he has proven to be a dedicated learner of the demanding requirements for designing, modifying and maintaining nuclear work facilities. In the 2-1/2+ years I've been his direct supervisor, Lowell has taken new challenges head on, while repeatedly producing quality results. In his first year he developed the standard instructions for replacing the structural supports under temporary buildings. This project involved determining the applicable structural, safety and administrative requirements while collaborating with production personnel on the tooling and materials needed. This is one of many examples of Lowell's ability to meticulously organize and document requirements and perform analyses to determine a viable solution and finally communicate across disciplines to execute the work. It is these examples that have provided Lowell his current opportunity as a member of the design team responsible for a new Refueling Complex. He is taking the lead role in designing mobile platforms and structural features that will provide unprecedented efficiency in setting up the necessary work spaces for working on nuclear submarines. To achieve this, he is coordinating with the structural, electrical, and mechanical leads on the project as well as the production department stakeholders who will eventually be responsible for executing work in the facility. I have no doubt that Lowell will be successful in this assignment, or any other for that matter. While I would be hard pressed to find a replacement with Lowell's abilities, I am excited to see what he does next. I have confidence he will go very far in life and I look forward to seeing him succeed in whatever challenges he takes on. Sincerely, Matt Ensign
