As a partner in the origination team of the Quasar Direct Lending Fund, my main objective was to bring new companies/deals/loans. Origination was made mainly through cold calling (On average I made more than 400 calls per month) and partnerships with other financial institutions. After setting a meeting with the client and understanding with we had fit, I would negotiate the terms of the loan, help in the credit analysis by being the focal point of the client during the process and help in the structuring of the deal by again being the focal relationship point with the client. Besides that, I had to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and prospects. During my time as an intern and as a partner I was able to participate in more than 300 meetings with C-Level executives and to bring more than 25 companies to credit analysis totaling more than 427 Millions reais worth of deals (more than 190 Million reais approved in credit analysis).
