  Managing a program during and outside of school hours for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th that is safe, academically enriching but still a fun environment are just some of my responsibilities. I generally work closely with day school staff and Principal to provide an enriching and educationally sound experience. I develop a proper structure of the program based on the needs and interests of the students and their parents while managing program staff and procedures, and the relationships with the community.Because the success of any after school program depends on its ability to attract students and provide them with meaningful and enriching experiences, I find the need to build relationships with schools, parents, and community groups to spread the word about the program and build support for it.   Planned and executed the dance performances as well as turned in paperwork in a timely manner. Made sure to complete full 1 hour shows within set deadlines while working within multiple large groups. Created flyers and promoted shows while also keeping a clear and effective communication with parents on the school's expectations and upcoming performances.Responsible for developing program design for arts programs and coordinating the implementation of the instructional structured curriculum for the performing arts programs, as well as the youth newsletter (Tiger Press), Summer Quest activities and Club Fridays at PS MS 5; supervised approximately 10 staff which includes, teachers, activity specialists and group leaders in regard to implementing the aforementioned structured activities. Entered student’s attendance into DYCD online system for PS MS 5 and helped with other administrative tasks such as document record keeping, filing food and nutrition applications for student meals, program scheduling, purchasing office supplies and keeping inventory. Daily attendance taken and outreach to parents of students who are absent from the after school program were kept in contact. Also, provided cultural dance workshops to High School students during ASPIRA’s Annual Citywide Youth Conference as well as to Middle School students during the Middle School Conference for three consecutive years.
