• Member of the Basketball Ireland Senior Management Team - Women In Sport Lead for Basketball Ireland • Responsible for logistics, planning and leading staff in the delivery of successful National and European Events including the FIBA Europe Congress in 2016, FIBA U18 Women’s European Championship Division B, 2017 and FIBA Women’s European Championship for Small Countries 2018, and FIBA Men’s European Championship for Small Countries 2020 (postponed to 2021). • Perform role of Event Controller encompassing planning, allocating of duties, arranging facilities, co-ordinating all aspects of the events. • Managing, planning and Co-ordinating National Competitions, 800+ schools’ competitions & National Cup competition.• Work closely with venues, key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure events are staged to a high standard.• Work with duty managers in the National Basketball Arena to ensure health and safety risk assessments were carried out pre event and during the event and set up of event complete. • Oversight of budgets for competition and event management. Liaising with suppliers and agreeing SLA’s where appropriate in order to ensure we are getting best value for money while working closely with the financial controller. • Liaising with European Body (FIBA) re: European events & official’s development.• Managing employee leave/TOIL records and forward planning to ensure all events are covered. • Constant evaluation of events & current processes to implement new measures to ensure we are working efficiently and continuous improvement is being delivered.• COVID Compliance Officer with responsibility to write the return to work plan, prepare the office and the facility for re-opening, putting a contact tracing procedure in place and ensuring all staff received training prior to the return in line with government guidelines. • Anti-Doping Officer Show less
