The NHS Frailty initiative aims to avoid unplanned admissions for those over 65 with long term health conditions, and to get people out of hospital and back home wherever possible. That means lots of care planning and integrated working between hospitals, GPs, social services and care homes. Worked in London all over the place after qualifying in 2009 for Zumba - various FitnessFirsts and Virgin Active, the Chelsea Harbour Club, Putney and Wandsworth leisure centres. Moved out to Surrey and worked for DC (now Places for People) who ran the leisure centres in Putney and Wandsworth, and went into Godalming, Cranleigh and Haslemere, plus running community classes. Gave up after developing arthritis in my left knee - result of too many years dancing and gymnastics!
