During my time at the Freshwater Biological Association, I have worked on many projects. The majority of my time is spent helping to run the "Freshwater Pearl Mussel Ark Project", a captive rearing programme for the critically endangered mussel Margaritifera margaritifera. I also help run the "Tyne Freshwater Pearl Mussel Restoration Project", which aims to identify pressures on the freshwater pearl mussel within the North Tyne catchment (England) and produce an evidence-based restoration programme for the species. I also provide editorial support for the FBAs house journal "Freshwater Reviews".
