I work collaboratively between the physics department within the University of St Andrews and the Photobiology department at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. My research focuses on developing Monte Carlo Radiative Transport simulations of optical radiation in biological tissues, specifically skin and ,more recently, the brain. Currently I am working on a code that simulates photodynamic therapy in the brain for the treatment of glioblastoma brain tumours. My PhD finishes in September 2023 and so I am currently looking for new career opportunities.
