I have worked with Louise Doherty for a number of Years, during which time she was employed as an ICT teacher at Thornhill College. I highly recommend her work. Louise is a very dedicated and skilled teacher. During her time at Thornhill College, she developed very strong professional relationships with the other staff and was a key member of the ICT team. She was able to quickly fit into new working relationships, communicated very effectively with other staff and was able to provide support and advice to others in the team. She was also able to deal with a large amount of work, coping with periods of high pressure in a calm and professional manner. Louise is a very skilled classroom teacher. She is able to develop highly productive relationships with her pupils, achieving a rapport based on mutual respect. She responds to individual pupils sympathetically yet professionally and is able to motivate and get the best out of each pupil. She is always well organised, with very well prepared classroom materials. Her classroom management is excellent and she has planned and delivered very effective lessons on a wide range of topics. She has an excellent command of her subject material and a high level of technical expertise. She also has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
