Project Manager
-
Jun 2021 - Present
I am currently a Project Manager for a Playground Landscaping company. We have 8 teams of installers and I report directly to the Operations Director. We have multiple installations running at the same time and I liaise with clients and sub contractors on a daily basis and also manage delivery of materials, aggregates and plant required for each job and make sure that welfare is in place for the entirety of the job. I work remotely in my role and manage my diary to work around site visits. I am responsible for scheduling on a weekly basis, making sure that operations are running smoothly and customers remain happy. This is a fast paced role with responsibility to make quick response decisions to keep the projects running smoothly.

I was given the responsibility of running a project for one of the largest furniture suppliers in the UK. Each of their stores have been fitted out to suit the clients needs whist going through a redevelopment phase plan . Each store required upgrades such as new partition display walls installed along with a new ranges. This was a fast paced fit out with deadlines not to be missed so attention to detail was very important. During my time as a full time Mother I started my own business. This taught me a great deal about time management and the responsibilities of managing every aspect, from Marketing to delivery a service. Site Manager
-
May 2016 - Jan 2017
My time spent with St George at Blackfriars was a fantastic learning opportunity. From leaving my previous job where I was a sub-contractor and going into a role Site Manager as the client, meant that I already had the understanding of what it’s like to be managed by the client, therefore I understood the constraints that companies are under to get the job done to the highest standard. This gave me the opportunity to relate to sub contractors whilst also being able to meet delivery and installation deadlines of the Joinery and Kitchen contracts. Soon after starting I also took over from the bathroom stone Manager as well. Further to managing these, there was a time that a safety officer was needed to manage the execution of deliveries into the basement and the safety of the basement, so I also took on this extra role for a short period as well showing my diversity within Site Management.

Design Project Manager

Aug 2013 - May 2016
During my time at Leicht Contracts I broadened my knowledge within various aspects of management. Having procured Battersea Reach, for St George, at the value of £1.5m, it encouraged me to develop, very quickly, the skills I needed to be a Project Manager. My job role at Leicht Contracts progressed from Kitchen Designer through Project Design Manager up to Project Manager. Progressing through each stage has increased my knowledge of kitchen design and installation in its entirety. Junior Sales Ledger Clerk/ Credit Controller
-
Feb 2012 - Aug 2012
My role consisted of taking charge of a large number of accounts, dealing with day to day payments, price queries, invoicing and returns. Every morning it was my responsibility to bank any cheques that we receive that morning and also to allocate any BACS payments. If payments are made late or not at all then action is taken with sending letters and applying court procedures. This job role has given me a working knowledge of how an accounts team within a business works which has set me up well for dealing with budgeting with project managing.

Designer/Model/Sales Assistant

Mar 2007 - Mar 2012
As well as working as a model on their stand, in 2007 I also designed and made an accessories stand to display their products, such as tiaras, so that the customer can appreciate their full beauty leading to an increase in sales. In 2011 I designed and manufactured part of an exhibition stand. The stand will act as a back drop to the tiara stands, I designed and manufactured in 2007. Assistant to Chief Interior Designer
-
2009 - 2011
I completed 10 months in total at Fairline Boats as part of my University degree pacement year. This gave me an understanding of how a business works. It enabled me to expanded my knowledge of interior and furniture design by working alongside the Chief Interior Designer. After completing my placement experience I continued to work for Fairline, I worked alongside the design team and had the opportunity to meet customers and discuss the options they have for the internal décor of their boat. I held meetings with customers interested in buying a Squadron 78ft boat and I organised the colour scheme boards for them to choose from. The same day they bought a £2.5 million boat. By creating a specific personal vision for the customer, allowing them to feel comfortable in the surroundings, gave them the confidence to trust my judgment and follow my lead though to the end of the sale.
