During my time at Maintel / Proximity Communications my role developed from that of an accounts assistant into the financial controller gaining both AAT and ACCA qualifications along the way. Responsible for preparing monthly management accounts in a timely manner in line with the expectations of the Board, including maintaining accruals, prepayments and deferred revenues schedules. Assisted in the preparation of due diligence documentation for the successful sale of the business to Maintel Europe Ltd. Main point of contact with the company auditors for the annual audit, and first draft preparation of statutory accounts. Also responsible for preparation and filing of the quarterly VAT returns including Intrastat and EU sales returns, preparing payroll including P11d and PSA calculations, maintaining the fixed asset register. Full working knowledge of the sales and purchase ledgers including order processing, invoicing, payment and credit control. Point of contact for all financial queries, ACCA qualified with good knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and good Excel skills. Able to work independently, organized and reliable.
