Senior Communications and Engagement Officer - London’s Recovery Programme
-
Jun 2021 - May 2023
I led on the development, co-ordination and delivery of stakeholder engagement, communications and marketing activities across the London Recovery Programme team – including writing and editing: a dedicated newsletter, which I also build into a specific distribution platform as well as articles, blogs, interviews and social media content. I maximise communications opportunities and extending the reach of the Mayor’s and the Recovery Programme Team's work across the organisation, and to external stakeholders and partners. This includes managing relationships with London Councils, Bloomberg Associates and various other highprofile London organisations and institutions. This is the first and only iteration of this job, as part of a unit set up to shape London’s recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have previously held a similar position in the Economic Development team at both the Greater London Authority and Haringey Council.I was an integral part of the central co-ordination centre, overseeing the delivery of Operation London Bridge (HM Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral). I helped to organise meetings, minuted meetings and provided other ad hoc communications and secretariat support. Show less

Senior Communications Officer

Sep 2020 - Jun 2021
I supported the effective promotion and successful delivery of the council’s Economic Development and Regeneration programmes, through first-class communications campaigns. I ensured residents, stakeholders, staff (including senior management) and current/potential investors were effectively communicated to, consulted with, engaged and motivated. I supported the Regeneration Communications Manager, and the wider Economic Development team, through actively leading on components of both programmes, including community engagement (both business and resident), virtual events (during COVID-19 pandemic), and digital media. I delivered communications campaigns across a range of media (including social media, e-newsletters, banners and physical assets) to ensure effective messaging to the business audience and residents, as well as stakeholders, staff and current/potential investors. During the COVID-19 pandemic my work centred on communicating the latest information on restrictions, enforcement and other general guidance to enable businesses to operate safely. Show less
