Since 2010 I have been the tutor of P4 (Reception), P5 (Year 1), Primary 1 (Year 2) and Primary 2 (Year 3). In this role I have planned and taught all the curriculum subjects in English as part of an emersion project to whole classes of children who do not have English as a first language. Further more I have also been the teacher of Religion from Primary 1-6 and I have been a specialist teacher for Primary 5 (Year 6) teaching Maths and English. In previous years at the school I have taught English as a foreign language to Primary 5, 6 and ESO 3 as well as conversation English to 17 and 18 year olds within the school. Three years ago I founded the school newspaper and received an award of excellence from the group of schools for my iniciative in creating more of a community for the school and encouraging children to write and have their work published. I have also been responsible for sourcing appropriate textbooks and reading material for the whole of Infants and Primary. Since 2015 I have added over 200 books to the school library by introducing a reading incentive that provided parents with English books and awarded the school with free books. Show less
