  • In charge of insulating the metal exhaust pipes of a state-of-the-art research coke oven using ultra-high temperature ceramic castables• Designed foam cores made of expanded polystyrene for all the different shapes of metal pipes and modeled them in Solidworks• Used tools such as bench grinder, hand grinder, chopsaw, drill press, milling machine, oxy-acetylene torches, and MIG welding to make custom parts for the pilot plant• Worked with suppliers to get quotes and order parts• Assisted the design of an elevated parking station made of a multitude of HSS for the cart used to quench the coke produced and modelling in Solidworks
