Lou is a brilliant guy, a leader and an idea man grounded in reality (how common is that?). 'Nuff said.

Shae B.

Lou Heldman turned a diehard print journalist into a social media and marketing professional. (That would be me.) At Wichita State University's Elliott School of Communication, I took a Social Media class from Lou Heldman in 2010. Not only did Lou express the importance of this media revolution, he also instilled in me a desire to do more with my writing career. I learned public relations and marketing techniques and strategies using social networking and blogging. He also taught me a new way to research and to write. Graduate school at WSU was a new chapter in my academic and professional life. I am glad I took Lou's class. Without it and without him, I would not be in the position I am in as a marketer and researcher. Lou helped shape the professional I am today. Here's to Lou! Sincerely, Shae Blevins

The Wichita Art Museum is a community treasure and I'm excited about serving as Chair alongside an outstanding group of trustees and a wonderful staff led by our new CEO, Anne Kraybill. In 2023 we'll be shaping our new five-year strategic plan, further implementing our Diversity Equity and Inclusion policy, opening a fabulous new restaurant with chef Katharine Elder and doing even more to build bridges to our dynamic community.
