  My master's thesis was carried out under the direction of Professor Antoine Guisan (UNIL) and under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Pfeifer (FiBL). Using ensemble modeling, I predicted the spatial distribution of some characteristic medicinal and aromatic plant (MAP) species in the Alpine region, today and in a climatically changed future. The main aim was to identify the most productive sites where several of these species could grow together into assemblages, in order to propose sustainable solutions for agricultural land planning and to help policy makers to support the production of MAPs where it is most ecologically appropriate.   Employée en tant qu'assistante-étudiante dans le groupe de recherche ECOSPAT- Spatial Ecology, mes principales missions étaient de gérer la veille bibliographique du groupe ainsi que d'effectuer des recherches bibliographiques pour un projet scientifique. En gérant les données, réorganisant les différents dossiers et en mettant en place une procédure simple d'accès aux références bibliographiques, j'ai également participé à améliorer l'utilisation du serveur informatique du groupe.   The project was directed by Professor Richard Benton and supervised by Dr. Michael P. Shahandeh (UNIL). In this research project, I studied the adaptation of circadian behavior to long photoperiods in two Drosophila species: D. melanogaster and D. sechellia. In addition, using immunohistochemistry and confocal imaging, I investigated whether the plasticity of locomotor activity rhythm depends on timing or amount of PDF (neuropeptide Pigment-dispersing factor) expression in the l-LNvs (large latero-ventral neurons).
