In 1999 I first met Lou, he at Spicers/Dalton Paper, myself underwriter at QBE Trade Credit Insurance. We underwrote their Trade Credit Policy and I was Underwriter. Lou always had the ability to know his clients strengths and their shortcomings and express the balance to the underwriter in such a way that the relationship between Lou and his client remained strong, whilst the underwriter (me) could continue to support the client through very difficult times. As a result many printers who otherwise would have failed, survived and flourished, and whilst claims were made on the Insurer, sufficient balance remained to make the Insurer/Client relationship mutually satisfactory. Now speaking of Lou's golf game... I will refrain.
