      My research specialism is maternal obesity and maternal physical activity. My work combines exploratory research investigating the barriers and facilitators to achieving a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy, and the development and evaluation of interventions to support women to improve their lifestyle during pregnancy and reduce excess gestational weight gain. In addition, I conduct research into childhood obesity, specifically looking at the attitudues towards and experiences of the National Child Measurement Programme and associated weight management programmes from multiple perspectives.
