I am responsible for planning and delivering an early year’s curriculum which adheres to both Aistear and Síolta. I am also responsible for coordinating the daily routine of the pre-school room which includes directing other staff members, meeting the children’s needs and interacting with both staff and parents/ caregivers. I encourage both a play based curriculum and an emerging curriculum as I base my planning on the children’s interests. As a play therapist, I incorporate therapeutic play into the classroom. This is done through play, creative arts, puppetry, drama and therapeutic stories

I run workshops for children aged 3-12 years old, these workshops are messy/sensory play based and I also do arts and crafts. I also do guided meditation and relaxation.I am also available for consultancy work in children's own home.Benefits of Sensory Play:Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks.Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction.Sensory play is great for calming an anxious or frustrated childMessy play gives children the opportunity to explore and stimulate their senses.
