I worked in both the early intervention room and the ASD class for 6-10 year olds. I planned and delivered lessons for all children- differentiating appropriately to meet the needs of all. I used the Picture Exchange Communication System to communicate with non-verbal children and used songs, rhyme and drama to develop the speech and language of others. I had the opportunity to work with members of the multi-disciplinary team in the area of occupational therapy and speech therapy.
