Bio
Nathalie Magnus, MSc, PhD
I had the good fortune to meet and be career counseled by Lorna at McGill. Lorna was always extremely generous with her time and knowledge, a true God-sent, especially for graduate students, like I was, with numerous questions about the ‘real world’ and ‘how to get there’. Lorna was always very patient, understanding and kind. In fact, thanks to the McGill career week (Lorna was involved in developing) that I learned and was exposed to the people who worked in industry, a rare opportunity that influenced my career path. Complimented by her advice, expertise, resources and counseling I have now started my new career in a domain that I love! I am extremely grateful to all her help and hope that more students should be as lucky to have Lorna in their lives!
Sylvie LEUNG YINKO, MSc, RD
Lorna is an exceptional career counsellor. She has helped not only me, but also numerous other students, deal with the various unknowns that come with finding a job and career. During both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I have had the privilege to attend her workshops and had one-on-one appointments with her. She is a fantastic listener, and has the right words when it comes to giving advice. She has also been extremely helpful during my transition from school to work and I have learnt a lot from her.
