I collaborate with colleagues across the University to deliver the Insights Programme, a pilot programme offering students the opportunity to gain insights into job sectors and workplaces, hosted by alumni. I am the first point of contact for students and support them throughout the process by producing information resources, organising and delivering pre-departure events and resolving all queries and issues. I am the first point of contact for students and support them throughout the process by producing information resources, organising and delivering pre-departure events and resolving all queries and issues. My role also includes liaising with alumni to schedule opportunities, as well as University colleagues to mitigate risks for the programme and ensure data protection is upheld.I also lead on the University’s Employ.ed for PhDs Internship Programme, offering part-time paid internships, designed to fit around PhD students’ research commitments at the same time as offering staff access to high-level research and analytical skills. I promote the programme to increase the number of opportunities, as well as support hosts internal and external to the University and students from enquiry, throughout the recruitment process, and during the internship to ensure all benefit as much as possible from the experience.My role also includes support the Internships Team with the administration and development of other internship programmes.
