Lori Grzybowski was simply wonderful to work with. Her professionalism and respectful nature extended to everyone she interacted with on a daily basis, from colleagues to loyal readers that wrote to the magazine. Lori took great care to respond thoughtfully to others no matter how full her schedule was. Lori’s focus included the sharing of treasured family recipes, crafts and upcycled home decor, as well as shining a spotlight on the lives and accomplishments of many inspirational women from rural areas across the nation. A stellar example of this was Country Woman’s 45 Year issue, featuring profiles of 45 Amazing Country Women, written by Sharon Selz. The incredible energy, collaboration and research that went into the planning of this feature was also a strong reflection of Lori’s editorial passion. Lori’s extensive institutional knowledge and dedication to Country Woman readers gave me valuable perspective about it’s unique audience. Through the experience of working closely with her, I developed a stronger understanding and appreciation for creative and resourceful women all across the country who have their feet planted firmly in the ground and their hearts fully connected to family and friends.

An exceptional leader, a creative editor and a talented writer. I had the pleasure of working with Lori for over three years on the Country Woman brand. Her understanding and care for her audience was apparent; her patient leadership ensured the team worked efficiently and effectively; and, her creative approach to the process ensured an amazing product beloved by nearly two million women each month. With the introduction of my role as digital editor, Lori and I worked hand and hand to strategically grow and transform the digital footprint of the brand. From the website to the social channels, Lori worked hard to ensure our online channels met the needs of our fans and provided a positive user experience. If there was something she didn't know, she rolled up her sleeves with a smile on her face and got up to speed. She asked great questions and her positive attitude kept every project moving forward. As an editor and shepherd of the brand, Lori was superb. I always enjoyed working with her, and offer her the highest recommendation.
