Our website has recently won two awards; Planning Excellence Award for Outstanding Innovation in Regional Planning—by the Michigan Association of Planning, and Michigan Recreation and Park Association (MRPA) gave the award in the category of Marketing Award – Website for 2012.Check out the website at www.bluewaysofstclair.org-Our most popular paddling trail, the Island Loop Route, just became the very first National Water Trail in the State of Michigan! There are currently only 14 in the nation. Check out the National Water Trail Program, run by the National Park Service, at http://www.nps.gov/WaterTrails/Home/About- I am the Broadband Committee Administrator for the County of St. Clair. We became the third Certified Connected Community in the State of Michigan in 2013. To learn more about the program, visit ConnectMi.Org- We are just finishing our NSP3 (Neighborhood Stabilization Program) program through HUD (Housing and Urban Development). We successfully completed our program and met every deadline, while putting 1.3 million dollars of low-income housing and improvements into our county.
