Lori is the ultimate in an Operations Leader. I have had the pleasure of consulting for and working with Lori since 2018, collaborating on a series of operational improvement initiatives in one of the key areas of her responsibility, the contact centre environment. She sets strategic direction and clearly communicates expectations and project goals. A key strength is her ability to balance multiple, and at times conflicting priorities in a calm, organized and professional manner. At all times she is able to balance the needs of the business, the customer, and the employees. She is an outstanding people manager who fosters enthusiasm and energy in her team members motivating them towards excellence in their day-to-day roles, or any project they tackle. I look forward to working with Lori again in the future.

I analyzed and recommended emerging trends, expansion opportunities, partnership opportunities, internal business performance, and business process improvement. I facilitated various projects at the program level. - I spearheaded the first Stackable Master of Nursing Certificate Program in Canada, designed to permit nurses to continue to practice while pursuing individual certificates or a full degree. I was involved in development of individual courses and certificates and designed the pathway for individual certificates to lead to a full graduate degree. - I led the strategic planning process for the Faculty of Nursing, focusing on the creation of new Vision and Mission statements, development of business and research goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), resulting in the creation of a 4-year plan for the Faculty. - I implemented new internal controls for equipment purchases, including medical equipment used in the Clinical Simulation and Learning Skills Lab. - I provided regular financial reporting to the Dean and oversight of a subset of endowed funds. - I was a key member of the Community Advisory Council comprised of senior leaders from various healthcare organizations (such as AHS, Covenant Health, and Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre (now Calgary and Area Child Advocacy Centre)), advising on key initiatives and raising the profile of Faculty within Calgary and the surrounding area.
